World of Goo iPhone Release “Soonish” – Waiting For Approval

2dboy, developer of World of Goo, has just announced they have submitted the iPhone version to the App Store. If everything goes well with the approval, the game should be available very soon for download. 2dboy has also shared some insights on the pricing model and explained what they have learned from the iPad release:

“The iPhone version of World of Goo will be priced at $2.99 in the US (and the usual equivalents elsewhere). BUT, it’s going to be discounted to $0.99 for the first 24 hours after release as a way to say thank you to the early adopters.”

And some great news for everyone who already ownes the iPad (HD) version of World of Goo is the fact that it will become universal. That means you don’t have to buy it again if you want to play it on the go on your iPhone or iPod Touch. The game will require at least an iPhone 3GS.
