Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Coming To iOS!

gta-vice-city-header

Rockstar Games has announced that GTA: Vice City will be available on the App Store in the near future. And much like the name suggests, the setting could be described as an over the top version of Miami Vice. GTA: Vice City was the follow-up to the highly praised GTA 3, the game that introduced the third dimension to the GTA series. GTA 3 is already available for you iPhone and iPad since quite some time as well as the mobile-only entry in the franchise, GTA: Chinatown Wars (which we loved in our review).

As a matter of fact, as of this writing, both GTA 3 and GTA: Chinatown Wars are on sale for $0.99! So if you’ve always wanted to see what the fuss with these games is all about, or if you want to re-live some of the fun you’ve had with those games in the past, now is the time to grab ‘em!

Grand Theft Auto 3 Universal – $0.99
Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars – $0.99
Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars HD – $0.99

In case you’re still not sold, you can also check out the free light version of GTA: Chinatown Wars:

Minigore 2: Zombies Trailer – Watch Santa Slay Some Undead Suckers!

Oh yeah, Minigore is back. Well, almost! The developer has released a brand new trailer showing off some glorious footage of a zombie slaying Santa! Yes you heard that right – apparently, our beloved Santa is now in the zombie killing business. When the original Minigore was released and the App Store wasn’t yet filled with tons and tons of games, it was one of the most outstanding titles for the iPhone and, in my opinion, still is one of the coolest dual-stick shooters around! According to Mountain Sheep, the developer, Minigore 2 is almost done, so I’m definitely looking forward to slaying those zombie hordes myself in the foreseeable future!

Now On Sale – Dead Space HD And Real Racing 2

dead space real racing 2 sale Now On Sale Dead Space HD And Real Racing 2

Listen up guys, with Real Racing 2 and Dead Space HD two of the most awesome games on the App Store are currently on sale! Dead Space HD dropped from $9.99 to $1.99 and Real Racing 2 dropped from $4.99 to $0.99. Both games are an incredible bargain at their current price tags. Heck, I even think they offer great value when they are not up for sale! I totally loved Dead Space in my review so go check it out if you are still in doubt! Also, have look at the trailers:

Dead Space is only on sale for the iPad, while the iPhone version remains at $6.99. With Real Racing 2, it’s the other way around: The price for the iPhone version is lowered to $0.99, whereas the iPad version will still set you back $6.99. Both games offer some impressive graphics and helped push what we thought was technically possible on the iOS platform to new heights. Therefore, I can only repeat myself: If you own either an iPhone or iPad and you’re into games (which you probably are, why on earth would you end up on TapArena otherwise?!) you should totally play those games!

Modern Combat 4: Zero Hour – Looking VERY Sharp In This Dev Diary!

A few days ago I said that Modern Combat 4 doesn’t looks as impressive now that we’ve seen games like Infinity Blade and the likes. Holy cow, I take that back! This game looks sharp! More detailed 3D models compared to earlier games, motion capturing, Havoc physics engine, dynamic objects – if someone told me a few years ago that we’d see all this stuff in a mobile game on our smartphones, I would have personally driven that guy to the next insane asylum.

But, as we all know, graphics isn’t everything and I have yet to get my hands on Modern Combat 4 to find out if the game plays as well as it looks. Fortunately, I don’t think it will be long until Gameloft will release Modern Combat 4: Zero Hour on the App Store. Also, as it seems to have become quite common these days, I don’t think this was the last of the Dev Diary entries. So stay tuned!

Star Command For iOS – Brand New Trailer With 13 Minutes Of Gameplay!

Finally! We’ve been talking about Star Command last week in our Highly Anticipated iPhone and iPad Games List and already teased you by saying that the developers have announced to show us a brand new gameplay trailer of Star Command this monday. And well, here it is! And it’s glorious!

The trailer is giving you a look at what this game really is about. And in short, that’s building a ship, hiring a crew, navigating through the universe, managing your crew, upgrading your ship, fighting aliens, negotiating with aliens, discovering stuff and much more. Well, that list wasn’t that short after all, was it? And I really do hope that it’ll also feel this way once we get a chance to play Star Command, since my biggest and almost only fear for this game is that it might become repetitive if it’s not filled with enough things to do. But let’s give the developers the benefit of the doubt and hope for the best – because then this game will kick some serious ass!

What I’m really digging is how Star Command looks and sounds. It’s like the Star Trek game that I would have played the shit out of if it were released on the Super Nintendo back then. If, like I said, there is enough content to make it worth our while. I sure hope so!
